Port Jervis, NY – A residential sewer line was in need of immediate remediation. There were issues with backups. Once our crew performed a camera inspection, they uncovered numerous sections that needed work. The line begins as 4′ cast iron, and then roughly six feet out it transitions to clay tile. Nearly every clay tile joint suffered from heavy root infiltration, and there were a few sections of pipe that were completely offset, causing the material to get caught up in those areas. The Trenchless crew cleaned down the pipeline, removing all of the roots, and then the line was hydro-scrubbed to remove all the debris.
Once the line was cleaned, it was then inspected again to make sure there was nothing left behind. The crew then installed roughly 50ft of 4′ liner and cured it via UV light. After the liner was cured, it was then inspected to ensure that the liner adhered to the pipe properly. The crew also cut back the liner to reinstate part of the sewer line at the beginning of the cleanout, to ensure a 100% flow rate, and restoration of service. This job was relatively quick, and the crew was on site for roughly 6 hours. The job took about half a day including mobilization, set up, prep, and tear down.
